NEW! Indian Summer Sibling Camp!
Jun 1st, 2012We at Indian Summer Camp are very excited to annouce a brand new program starting in 2012: The Indian Summer Sibling Camp. We have heard for years that our campers' siblings always ask when they will get the chance to come to camp. Now they will have a camp of their own! This weekend-long camp is specially designed to meet the unique needs of the siblings of children battling cancer. Many times, siblings feel left out, scared, and need special attention. Indian Summer Sibling Camp will give these special kids an opportunity to have a camp expereince of their own, gain recognition, and bond with others that understand their feelings.
The Indian Summer Sibling Camp will run from June 1-3 (Friday-Sunday) at Crossings Camp Cedarmore in Bagdad, KY. Eligibility requirements include being the brother or sister of a child who is currently going through treatment for cancer or who has survived cancer and they must be between the ages of 7-16 as of June 1st. Because this is the first year organizing this event, we are limiting enrollement to the first 80 campers who register. Applications will be on our website, beginning March 1st, 2012 so be sure to mark your calendar!
More information will be mailed out to our current camper families in early 2012.
