Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to attend camp?
Because we understand the financial strain that a cancer diagnosis puts on a family, there is no cost to the family for ANY of our camps or programs. They are provided free of charge to eligible children & families and we have never turned a child away. This is why we rely 100% on donations from individuals, groups, and businesses.
How are your programs funded?
Indian Summer Camp is a statewide 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our central office is in Louisville, KY. We do not receive any federal or state money. We rely on contributions of individuals, foundations, and corporations to financially support our programs. Many community groups host special fundraising events throughout the year and we hold our own fundraisers. For more information about fundraising, sponsorships, or making a donation contact Shelby.Dehner@gmail.com or call (502)794-7103.

How do I volunteer?
Because we only have one professional staff member, we rely on volunteers to make our camps & events so special. There are many volunteer opportunities year around. Please see the "volunteer” section on this webpage for more information.
